The Model 420 CALM buoy swivel provides a rotating connection for low power听(600 V/50 A) and signal cables. Cable entry is by connectors听or through integral junction boxes. It is intended for use in听Catenary Anchor Leg Mooring (CALM) buoys and similar听installations.

This model has no hollow bore, so it must be located at the听top of a swivel stack. This also makes it the swivel of choice听when a听fiber optic rotary joint听is required. If a hollow bore is听required, use the听Model 440.

The swivel is certified as a flameproof enclosure with听flameproof connectors or increased safety junction boxes on听the ship side (Ex de). It is certified for use with intrinsically听safe circuits (Ex de[ib]). Ingress protection is IP66/IP68-20 m.

All products can be modified to meet specific requirements. Installation, commissioning and service is available.
